SARASOTA SEAHAWKS SELECT TEAMS ARE BY INVITATION ONLY.  COMPETITIVE/TOURNAMENT TRAVEL LACROSSE IS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR ALL LACROSSE PLAYERS.  PLAYERS ON OUR SELECT TEAMS MUST MEET ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

-CURRENTLY PLAYING FOR, OR HAS PLAYED FOR A SEAHAWKS SELECT TEAM IN THE PAST

-RECOMMENDED BY THEIR COACH

-RECRUITED AND EVALUATED BY OUR COACHING STAFF

-UNDERGO A PRIVATE OR SMALL GROUP TRY-OUT/INTERVIEW

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE (subject to change due to circumstances out of our control):

  1. STX PARADISE SHOOTOUT.  NAPLES, FL.  NOVEMBER 11-12
  2. DEREK PIEPER MEMORIAL LACROSSE CUP, WESLEY CHAPEL, FL., NOVEMBER 18-19 (TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS QUALIFIER).  www.wcaasports.org/derekpieper

PRACTICE SCHEDULE:

  • 2 PRACTICES PER WEEK (DAYS AND TIMES MAY CHANGE DEPENDING ON FIELD AVAILABILITY AND DAYLIGHT) 
  • PICK-UP GAMES EVERY SUNDAY THROUGH DECEMBER 17TH
  • TURF FIELD AT THE ROBERT L. TAYLOR COMMUNITY COMPLEX AND/OR LAKEVIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (PRACTICE LOCATIONS MAY VARY)

TIMES:

  • U13: BEGINNING TUESDAY OCTOBER 3RD, TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM 5:30 P.M. - 7 P.M. (LOCATION TWIN LAKES PARK)
  • U15: BEGINNING TUESDAY OCTOBER 3RD, TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM 5:30 P.M. - 7 P.M. (LOCATION TWIN LAKES PARK)
  • HSB/U17: BEGINNING TUESDAY OCTOBER 3RD, TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM 5:30 P.M. - 7 P.M. (LOCATION TWIN LAKES PARK)
  • HIGH SCHOOL A/U19: BEGINNING TUESDAY OCTOBER 3RD, TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS FROM 3:15 P.M. - 5:30 P.M. @ ROBERT L. TAYLOR COMMUNITY COMPLEX

COST:

  • $625 (price includes Sunday Fall Ball scrimmages, Under Armor uniform, tournament fees, field rental fees, coach's stipends, and an unforgettably positive experience)
  • For team consistency and team unity, participation in all three tournaments is expected.  However, if a player is not able to play in all three tournaments, arrangements can be made for partial participation on a case-by-case (Cost breakdown for partial participation is as follows: 3 tournaments= $625, 2 tournaments= $450, 1 tournament= $275)
  • All balances MUST be paid before the first tournament.  Unpaid balances will result in the inability to play in the tournament (*Payment plans and financial assistance are available on a case-by-case basis.  Please contact Coach Carver or your Head Coach to inquire about assistance)

*Teams who win the Derek Pieper will qualify for the Dick's Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions (TOC).  An additional expense will apply for teams playing in the TOC.  2 of our teams from last Fall are grandfathered in to this years TOC due to their finalist finish in last years TOC
